Na de eerste succesvolle Pink Diemen Filmserie rond het thema “LHBTI+ Families en
Relaties”, komt Pink Diemen terug met een tweede serie films rond het thema “LHBTI+
en Verlangen”.
Pink Diemen breidt de serie dit seizoen uit tot in totaal acht films en
presenteert een serie die ingaat op hoe LHBTI+-verlangens personages en verhalen
kunnen stimuleren (en natuurlijk zijn het films die op zich al een genot zijn om naar te
kijken!). Deze serie beperkt zich niet alleen tot het adresseren van fysieke verlangens,
maar stelt de vragen: hoe is het verlangen van LHBTI+ op het scherm weergegeven?
Door wie? Hoe verschillend kan het op verschillende tijdstippen en op verschillende
plaatsen verschijnen? Wanneer mag ons verlangen geuit worden, wanneer wordt het
onderdrukt, en wie bepaalt hoe en of het überhaupt wordt uitgebeeld? Hoe beïnvloedt
verlangen andere aspecten van ons leven (sociaal, financieel, religieus)? En hoe
beantwoorden we deze vragen op verschillende momenten in onze geschiedenis? Alle
films worden vertoond met Nederlandse ondertiteling en elke vertoning wordt
voorafgegaan door een korte introductie.
Following its first successful Pink Film series, which was organized around the topic
of “LGBTI+ Families and Relationships,” Pink Diemen invites you back for Pink Film Series 2,
which takes as its organizing principle the possible interpretations of the concept of “Desire”
as it relates to LGBTI+ populations.
Expanding to a total of eight films this season, Pink Diemen presents a series that addresses
how LGBTI+ desire can drive characters and stories (and, of course, the films are fun, too!).
Not limited just to addressing physical desire, this series asks: How has LGBTI+ desire been
represented on screen? By whom? How different can it appear at different times and in
different places? When is our desire permitted expression, when is it repressed, and who decides
how and if it is portrayed at all? How does desire affect other aspects of our lives
(social, financial, religious)? And how do we answer these questions at different points in our histories?
All films will be shown with Dutch subtitles, and each screening will be proceeded by a short introduction.
